HPC Compute Engineer – Remote
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000

Your Role:
As an HPC Compute Engineer, you will design, optimize, and maintain HPC infrastructure that powers next-generation software solutions. You’ll collaborate with developers and cross-functional teams to ensure systems are scalable, reliable, and high-performing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage HPC clusters.
- Optimize systems for maximum performance and resource utilization.
- Troubleshoot HPC systems and tools.
- Collaborate with developers for seamless software integration.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging HPC technologies and best practices.
- Conduct routine maintenance, updates, and capacity planning.
Essential Skills:
- HPC cluster management and scheduling tools (Slurm, PBS, Grid Engine).
- Linux system administration and shell scripting.
- Performance tuning for large-scale compute systems.
- Parallel computing concepts (MPI, OpenMP).
- Networking protocols and HPC storage solutions.
Desirable Skills:
- Cloud HPC (AWS ParallelCluster, Azure Batch).
- Programming (Python, C++, or similar).
- Containerization (Docker, Singularity).
- Experience with machine learning workflows in HPC.
