Role: Head of Data – HealthTech
Location: Hybrid (Greater London – 2 times per week)
Contract Length: 6 months (with potential extension)
Day Rate: Competitive (DOE, Inside IR35)

The Opportunity Chapman Tate Associates are partnering with an innovative HealthTech company on a mission to transform patient outcomes through data-driven insights and cutting-edge technology. As they continue to scale, they’re seeking an experienced Head of Data to lead their data function on an interim basis, driving strategy, governance, and delivery across the organisation.
This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll shape how data is leveraged across clinical, product, and commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the company’s data strategy aligned with business goals
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary data team (engineering, analytics, science)
- Establish best practices in data governance, quality, security, and compliance (including healthcare regulations)
- Partner with product and engineering teams to build scalable data platforms
- Drive insights and analytics to support clinical and operational decision-making
- Implement robust reporting frameworks and KPIs across the business
- Manage stakeholders at executive level, translating complex data into actionable insight
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior data leadership role (Head of Data / Director level)
- Strong background in data engineering, analytics, and platform architecture
- Experience within HealthTech, healthcare, or regulated environments (highly desirable)
- Deep understanding of data governance, GDPR, and healthcare data standards Track
- record of building and scaling high-performing data teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Hands-on approach with the ability to operate strategically and tactically
Tech Environment (Indicative)
- Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Modern data stack (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, dbt)
- BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
